Pediatrics Service Line Director

The Pediatrics Service Line Director oversees the strategic planning, development, and implementation of Pediatric Services at Salud Para La Gente, including Lactation services and the Healthy Steps program. They provide strategic and operational leadership by ensuring high-quality patient care, access, service line growth, and efficient resource utilization.

Requirements

• Develops and implements the strategic plan for Pediatrics Services in collaboration with other department leaders
• Oversees the daily operations of the Pediatrics Service line, including Lactation and the Healthy Steps program
• Ensures adequate clinic resources, staffing, flow, and support to provide excellent patient care and access
• Collaborates with providers and staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Ensures program compliance with internal and external regulations
• Oversees and monitors the financial management of resources, including budgeting and staffing, for the Pediatrics department
• Analyzes performance data and makes informed decisions to enhance service delivery
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with key stakeholders
• Participates in hiring, training, and performance evaluations and improvement plans of Pediatrics staff
• Understands union processes and works collaboratively and effectively with union staff
• Stays abreast of the latest advancements in health care and integrates them into service line planning
• Responds to patient complaints and incident reports
• Coordinates with Communications and Funding teams to promote Pediatric Services
