Job Description
Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a Housing Specialist to identify and assist program participants in securing permanent housing. This role involves identifying housing needs, conducting assessments, providing case management, and coordinating with case managers to facilitate housing and rental subsidy programs. They focus on ensuring participants have safe, affordable housing.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Six Months to One Year of comparable housing or real estate experience working with the NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) or other similar city-operated organizations
- Willingness to participate in CPR and First Aid training
- Willingness to travel to view available apartments
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
