Job Description
Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a full-time Social Worker to provide clinical services to people served within their neighborhoods and communities. The role involves individual and group counseling, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, family counseling, and referral services, all aimed at supporting the agency's mission. The position operates in Brooklyn, NY and is part of a national organization.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- Minimum of one to three (1-3) years of clinical experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment or shelter experience
- NYS LMSW/LCSW licensure preferred
- In-depth knowledge of NYC's diverse network of medical and behavioral health care organizations
- Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
