PRN UR Coordinator

The Utilization Review Coordinator conducts utilization reviews to determine appropriate care for patients. They monitor patient charts, insurance approvals, and hospital admissions, ensuring efficient resource use and adherence to the plan. This role involves data collection, analysis, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to improve processes and ensure the appropriate use of hospital services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of Admitting or Financial Counseling experience preferred.
• Basic PC skills in Windows, Office and Excel.
• Understanding of governmental and managed care payer requirements.
• Knowledge of data elements for clean bill of rights.
• Understanding of the importance of HIPAA confidentiality.
