Gardener

Maintains University Grounds and Landscaping, including plant maintenance, irrigation systems, and landscaping areas. Responsible for manual labor, furniture moves, and event setup. Preference given to applicants with experience in landscape maintenance and completion of recognized courses.

Requirements

• Four (4) years of experience in landscape, maintenance, and demonstrated skill in tasks described above
• Valid California driver’s license
• Ability to pass a physical examination for pesticide respirator use
• Ability to lift and move moderately heavy objects, up to 65 lbs. safely
• Frequent kneeling and bending of knees and back
• Able to work at elevated heights by means of a ladder, extension ladder or man-lift
