Savannah River National Laboratory is seeking a mid-career Mechanical Engineer to lead initiatives related to Machining Technology, with a focus on driving manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Collaborate with equipment development engineers and provide feedback on design for manufacturability
- Enhance machining efficiency through digital engineering initiatives involving CAD/CAM
- Work with Machinist Technicians on the recapitalization of machine tools including tracking of procurements and installation
- Lead effort to modernize software tool for tracking shop requests
- Serve as technical point of contact for external machining requests
- Represent SRNL at various working groups related to advanced manufacturing
