The Hydrogen Isotope Science Group at SRNL is seeking a Post-Doctoral Scientist with strong background in computational materials simulation, process-structure-property relationships, and modeling of unit operations for hydrogen isotope processing and fusion energy applications.
Requirements
- Work under guidance of research advisor advancing projects and novel concepts within the Tritium Technology Division.
- Develop computational models for hydrogen isotope processing systems
- Perform physics-based modeling of material under extreme conditions, involving radiation, high temperatures, and magnetic fields.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers across different organizations.
- Employ advanced computational methods such as molecular dynamics (MD), Monte Carlo, and finite element analysis (FEA), applied mathematical modeling and statistics to address hydrogen isotope processing and fusion energy challenges.
- Present findings as applicable to internal or external stakeholders, including technical conferences, business meetings and peer-reviewed publications.
