CAM Programmer

As a CAM Programmer at Schaeffler, you will execute programming or program documentation, maintenance, optimization for new parts or work pieces, for a variety of processing machines. You will also identify and set framework conditions for programming and editing, calculate and define key features, and create geometry data for complex work pieces using drawings or engineering specifications.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience.
• Proficient in reading and writing CNC code (e.g., EIA, Heidenhain).
• Practical knowledge of machine operations, including machine travel, accuracy, and available options.
• Experience or understanding of cutting parameters such as feeds, speeds, and depth/width of cut.
• Strong basic computer skills, including file management (copy, paste, move, create folders).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to develop process plans and specify necessary tools.
• Effective team collaboration skills.
• Capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring employment visas or sponsorship.
