Job Description
Portland Jewish Academy's Preschool program supports young children's development in a secure, inquiry-based environment. The Substitute Classroom Teacher is responsible for following lesson plans, maintaining classroom activities, and ensuring the intellectual, social, and emotional well-being of students, working closely with co-teachers and supervising children effectively.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one year of qualifying experience working with children 6 months to 6 years old
- Current First Aid, CPR and Food Handler’s certifications
- Current enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry
- Physical abilities to lift children or heavy items, bending, stooping, reaching, standing, climbing, walking
