Senior Software Engineer, UI/UX

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is seeking a Senior UI Engineer to join their team and shape their internal UI platform. The role involves contributing to the platform's architecture, UX, and development tools, working with a dynamic product team, and delivering high-impact UI solutions. The position requires a blend of front-end expertise, UX sensibility, and a product mindset.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in UI engineering, with at least 2 years in a role leading or designing front-end architectures
• Expertise in React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS and modern web development toolkits
• Experience working with REST APIs, WebSockets, and event-driven architectures
• Strong familiarity with common enterprise JavaScript frameworks, such as Redux, Zustand, RxJS
• Experience working with advanced data grid and charting tools integrated with real-time or high-volume datasets
• Experience working with both relational (Postgres, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB)
• Expertise with low-latency, distributed caches such as Redis or Memcached
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and E2E tests utilizing popular frameworks like RTL, Mocha, Jest, Cypress, Playwright
• Thoughtful approach to problem-solving
• Track record of independent execution
• Experience driving the full lifecycle of complex UI applications
• Cloud operation skills in system monitoring and configuration management
• Experience building internal tools for trading, analytics, or compliance in Finance or Fintech businesses
