Job Description
Scientific Games is seeking a Software Development Manager to lead major implementation projects for the central gaming system software group. The manager will oversee software delivery, provide technical guidance, and drive project schedules. The ideal candidate will have a good mix of technical skill, verbal and written communication skills, project and personnel management. This is a challenging and rewarding position with a high degree of initiative and accountability.
Requirements
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members
- Work with team members on technical and professional skills
- Provide plans, schedules and status to all levels of management and customers
- Collect and document business requirements
- Develop project schedules and monitor project progress
- Assist software engineers with hands on code implementation and code architecture and design
- Mentorship, evaluations, conflict resolution and recognition of staff
- Ensure developers deliver quality work as scheduled
- Maintain up to date knowledge on new programming methods and technologies
- Direct customer interaction for many parts of the projects
