Job Description
A Field Service Engineer will be part of a team providing support to C4I systems and networks on vessels operating in the U.S. Currently approved candidate should be able to maintain and repair systems and networks, log maintenance issues, and contribute to overall mission system status reporting.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Technology, or four years of relevant experience and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification
- Eight years of practical hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of data networks, digital computers, microprocessors, cloud computing environments, and distributed data systems
- Demonstrated experience in Radio Frequency (RF) solutions, network security, Quality of Service (QOS), and Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) for current and future shipboard networking systems
- Five years of combined experience in the management, administration, maintenance, and repair of UNIX/LINUX and Windows based computer networks
- 5 years of combined experience in the management, administration, maintenance, and repair of UNIX/LINUX and Windows based computer networks, including: ISNS, CANES, ADNS, CENTRIXS, and/or SCI Navy systems (or equivalent type network) Windows based network management and administration Cisco routing and switching, and server and router configuration and management UNIX/LINUX based processing systems management Application of system and network security using standardized tools and techniques Security+ Continuing Education (CE) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Operating System certifications for: Configuring Windows 10 (70-697) Configuring Windows Server 2012 (70-410) Administering Windows Server 2012 (70-411) LINUX Database Management
