Director, Compliance Quebec

The Director, Compliance Quebec will lead the design, planning, and execution of regulatory compliance management programs for Scotiabank's Quebec region, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Compliance standards and expectations. The role will provide expert advice and counsel to business units, maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and drive effective and efficient operations to meet regulatory obligations and risk management goals.

Requirements

• 8 years of Compliance related experience in the financial services industry
• Impact, influence maturity and experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Experience in interpreting, advising and applying legal, regulatory and/or policy requirements
• Strategic and critical thinker, strong collaborator and experience in leading change
• Ability to draw connections between regulatory requirements and business initiatives
• Analytical thinker, data centricity and strong problem solver
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
• Francophone or bilingual anglophone with flawless mastery of French
• Sufficient mastery of the English language
