Director, Operational and Data Risk Management

Join Scotiabank's Global Banking and Markets team as a Director, Operational and Data Risk Management. This role will ensure the effective challenge of operational and data risk management activities, and lead the evolution of the operational and data risk framework. Must have 15+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management or related fields.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent required
• A minimum of 15 years of experience working at a financial institution, with at least 10 years’ experience in Operational Risk Management, or related Compliance, Risk Management or Audit experience
• Experience with Risk Identification and Assessment and/or RCSA process a must
• Deep understanding of the regulatory expectation for U.S. Operational Risk Management
• Hands-on experience developing and producing management reports
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with multiple stakeholders both internal and external
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrated ability to operate at a strategic level. Ability to solve problems, multi-task and manage changing priorities
