Software Developer - Test Automation

Join a purpose-driven team as an Automation Test Engineer on the Scotia Digital Platform Migration team. Develop test automation frameworks, design, and maintain modular test automation frameworks for UI, Microservices, and Performance test. Work closely with scrum teams to evangelize quality and contribute to highly acclaimed in-house automation frameworks.

Requirements

• Experience developing test automation frameworks in Java, Python, or React JS
• Written moderate to complex code/scripts to test systems
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a modular, extensible, and reusable test automation framework
• Developing code to automate the testing of microservices and ensuring adequate test coverage of application code
• Partner with development engineers during story and task breakdown to develop test approach that effectively cover functional and performance characteristics of a feature
• Building, maintaining, and improving the existing automation framework, test harness, and processes
• Understanding of enterprise software design principles – architecture, design patterns, OOP
• Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your own time efficiently
