Software Engineer

This role involves planning and executing to meet sprint objectives as well as program/project milestones as a member of the scrum team, writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices, and collaborating with the Scrum team to plan milestones, successfully execute software delivery, and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience as a full-stack developer
• 2+ years' experience working with MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) stack in a professional environment
• 2+ years' of unit testing experience with both frontend and backend code
• 2+ years of experience working with microservice architecture
• 2+ years' experience working in Agile/ Scrum framework
• Experience working with monorepo architecture
• Demonstrated experience working with Gitflow branching strategy
• Experience working with Trunk based branching strategy
• Excellent communication skills with ability to influence decision making across stakeholders
• Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
• Post-secondary education, preferably in computer science, engineering
• Canadian bootcamp experience an asset
• A Scrum certification would be an asset
