Inbound Call Center Specialist responsible for answering and routing calls, greeting customers, and providing clear information and directions. The role requires basic computer literacy, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
Requirements
- Answers all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Obtains appropriate information and directs calls to appropriate in-house number or department
- Makes contact immediately under the guidelines of policy and procedure to relay messages to physicians, patients, managers, etc.
- Responds appropriately to calls from patients, on-call staff, managers, physicians, etc.
- Responsible and accountable for tasks necessary to properly identify in the patient processing system
- Pages over intercom system according to policy and procedure
- Makes timely and verbal contacts with each member of the OR call-back team
- Performs all functions of the hospital computer system required to identify a patient's location
- Uses scripting policies as an effective communication tool with customers
- Treats patients, visitors and coworkers with respect and dignity
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information to assure Patient Rights and the rights of others are protected in accordance to policy and procedure
- Promotes positive hospital image
- Demonstrates fair, equitable, positive, and respectful behavior to coworkers and other agencies
