Job Description
The Billing Specialist I, II, or III is a full-time position responsible for accurate and timely processing of third party insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, Private Pay, and special programs. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of accounts receivable management in a healthcare setting and strong working knowledge of managed care plans, insurance carriers, referrals, and pre-certification procedures.
Requirements
- ICD-10, CPT and CDT coding experience, both dental and medical terminology preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Ten-key by touch
- Healthcare billing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
