Job Description
Seagate is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer to lead the development of Mechanical Automation Systems for next-generation optimized form factors. This role focuses on leading the design of automation solutions for smaller substrate form factors, analyzing workflows, and ensuring scalable automation solutions aligned with evolving product and manufacturing demands. Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Higher degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of tooling, robotics, vision systems, and mechanical assembly principles.
- Proficient in CAD software and familiar with motion control, sensors, and basic automation control systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Effective project management skills with timelines and coordination.
- Knowledge in automated bar/substrate pick-and-place systems.
