The Planner I in Design Build participates in new construction design projects in the areas of production jig design and drawing development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- up to 2 years of experience in planning and production control in a heavy industrial/manufacturing environment.
- Experience drafting and designing jigs is highly desirable.
- Understanding of shipbuilding strategy concepts, manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Technical skills with ability to read blueprints/drawings.
- Experience with Cadmatic and AutoCAD software, document control systems and databases.
- Organizational skills and ability to maintain organized under pressure and in changing environment.
- Attention to details while keeping big-picture goals in mind.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to gather and interpret relevant information.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
- Time management skills and ability to work on several issues simultaneously.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to explain rules and procedures clearly.
