Job Description
Field Service Engineer role for a globally recognized manufacturer specializing in DC switchgear, power conversion systems, and traction power solutions for the rail industry. The role involves field service activities such as preventive & corrective maintenance, retrofits, and commissioning activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; or relevant technical experience will also be considered.
- Field Service background in the field of installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical equipment with custom electro-mechanical solutions.
- Prior experience in power distribution, switchgear manufacturing, or similar roles (3+ years preferred).
- Familiarity with DC power systems (Low Voltage and Medium Voltage up to 3kV).
- Minimum requirement: High school diploma or GED combined with industry experience.
- Safety training and certification including OSHA card, current basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Excel and MS Office Suite (Office 365) user level knowledge.
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable in complex technical environments.
- Ability to analyze technical requirements and create clear, accurate solutions.
