Job Description
Records journal entries, prepares financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and maintains internal controls and SOPs.
Requirements
- Assists the Controller in monthly financial closing
- Posts and reconciles Point-of-Sale transactions to the General Ledger
- Coordinates with Retail staff ordering of supplies from bank and resolution of deposit issues with banks
- Collaborates and consults with stakeholders throughout the organization
- Reviews cash payouts and redeems vouchers and other POS-related transactions to ensure proper recording in the general ledger
- Assists the Controller in the annual budget process
- Performs variance analysis and evaluates contracts
- Generates ad hoc financial reports, and provides information/analysis reports to management throughout the organization
- Assists in creating and maintaining SOPs
- Continuously improves the automation of the accounting and reporting process
- Prepares Monthly Sales Tax return for North Carolina and all associated entries and reconciliations
