Job Description
Intern - IT Application Development. Learn and apply an analytical problem-solving approach to a diverse set of business questions. Work directly with the Managers and members of the IT team as well as other stakeholders who work with technology around Select Quote.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college/university.
- Degree focused in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- Relevant previous internship experience or the completion of a project that demonstrates aptitude for programming and data analysis.
- Familiarity with JavaScript/Node.js and related frameworks or tools (e.g., Express, npm).
- Basic understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
- Awareness of RESTful API concepts and how they are used in applications.
- Exposure to SQL databases (MSSQL or similar).
- Comfortable using common code editors or IDEs (such as Visual Studio Code, Atom, or Eclipse).
- Familiarity with JIRA or other project tracking tools is a plus.
