The Quality Control Technician provides technical support to functional areas of quality engineering, coordinating quality control inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with the established standards.
Requirements
- Follows-up on quality reviews by reporting any anomaly
- Reviews main incidents of work cells to reach a team's solution
- Advises the quality engineer by troubleshooting and determining actions in the process
- Collects and analyzes data of the processes to confirm that they comply with the established quality standards and to identify the deviations that occur against them
- Performs new or improved methods, procedures and quality standards
- Ensures the reliability of the equipment that is under the quality area, making sure its calibrated, in order to avoid non-conformities caused by it
- Identifies areas of opportunity to carry out continuous improvement actions in terms of quality and efficiency of the manufacturing or inspection process
- Coordinates the QA team for audits
- Controls non-conforming materials and supplier rejections
- Coordinates calibration plans of measurement equipment
- Follows up on customer claims
