Job Description
Vusion is a retail tech company seeking a Data Platform Engineer to create production pipelines and strengthen the ecosystem using standards, quality controls, governance measures, and observability. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in Data Engineering/DataOps with production delivery and mastery of SQL and Spark.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Data Engineering/DataOps with production delivery
- Mastery of SQL and Spark
- Practical experience with Databricks (Jobs/Workflows, Delta)
- Practical experience with dbt (models, tests, documentation)
- Strong understanding of governance with Unity Catalog (RBAC, lineage, PII)
- CI/CD and observability culture
- Knowledge of containers (Docker/K8s), streaming (Kafka/Event Hubs), and orchestrators (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
- Retail data analysis experience (sales, margins, promotions, loyalty)
- Team spirit and excellent communication skills
