Sherwood Center for the Exceptional Child is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, equipping, and empowering adults and students with autism and other developmental disabilities. The center offers specialized services including habilitation, direct support, behavioral therapy, and classroom assistance to promote independent living and active participation.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Master's degree & BCBA certification. Must have ability to communicate effectively and prioritize tasks
Assistant Teacher
Must be 18+ with a Bachelor’s in special education (or master’s in related field). Obtain a substitute teaching permit/cert. to teach in the MO State Plan. Requires pass-fail POET physical assessment
Classroom Assistant
High school diploma & some exp. in special education or with autism. Experience working with adults with disabilities. Pre-existing level 1 Meds req
Paraprofessional- Special Education
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of DESE assessment. Experience in special education. Ability to pass a POET assessment
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Special Education
Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) with experience working with children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities
Special Education Teacher (Autism Focus)
Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Teaching Certificate in Special Education, experience working with children with autism, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Chief of Staff
Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of leadership experience, and strong understanding of compliance and risk management
