Job Description
The Test Facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering (TFOME) contract at NASA Glenn Research Center in Sandusky, OH is seeking a Mechanical Test Engineer to provide engineering support and leadership in mechanical engineering and technical execution for test or facility projects. This role involves planning, design, and technical execution, including project management and data analysis. The engineer will be involved in a wide range of test types in various facilities, including wind tunnels, engine and component facilities, and acoustics laboratories.
Requirements
- Provide technical expertise to users of the ground test facilities.
- Develop detailed project plans and schedules with task lists, durations, and resource assignments.
- Design and oversee the fabrication, installation, data analysis, instrumentation specifications, and report generation for mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with electrical, data, and instrumentation technicians.
