Job Description
Signal Ocean is seeking a motivated and solutions-oriented Technical Product Manager to join their team in London/Athens. This role will focus on translating complex data-driven workflows into clear product requirements for backend services and analytics, bridging the gap between business and technical possibilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to the development of a technically sophisticated and scalable SaaS platform, specifically the Signal Ocean Platform, and build deep knowledge of the shipping industry.
Requirements
- Strong data science/software engineering background
- 2+ years of experience as a Product Manager, preferably in backend, data platforms, or infrastructure-heavy products
- Very good technical data skills, including hands-on experience in SQL
- Experience with Python or R (mandatory)
- Comfort with backend concepts such as data pipelines, APIs, distributed systems, and large-scale data processing
- Working experience with agile methodologies (Kanban or Scrum), ideally with hands-on experience in JIRA and Productboard
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
