News Director

KBAK/KBFX is seeking an experienced News Director to lead one of the strongest local newsrooms in the country, producing impactful stories with a focus on accountability reporting.

Requirements

• Managing the station’s news operations, setting budgets, establishing goals, and directing the staff
• Initiating and managing growing content delivery on multiple platforms
• Reviewing daily newscasts for quality control and brand compliance
• Recruiting, hiring, and negotiating contracts for news department personnel
• Collaborating with other managers to develop marketing plans and establish ratings goals
