News Producer

KOMO/KUNS is seeking a creative News Producer to oversee the day-to-day production of newscasts, working closely with the Executive Producer, Director, Assignment Desk, and Anchors.

Requirements

• Solid news judgment
• Compelling and accurate writer
• Ability to multitask and manage time
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to execute news strategies and goals
• Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities
• Proficient with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems (i.e. iNews)
• At least 2 years producing a daily newscast
• A 4-year journalism degree is preferred
