Job Description
Monitor and ensure welding activities comply with approved procedures, quality standards, and project specifications. Conduct visual inspections and coordinate NDT testing. Maintain inspection records and ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical / Welding Engineering or related field.
- Valid welding inspection certification (CSWIP / AWS-CWI / BGAS or equivalent preferred).
- Minimum 3–7 years of relevant experience in welding inspection.
- Experience in oil & gas, construction, fabrication, or heavy engineering projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW, FCAW).
- Familiarity with international codes such as ASME, AWS, API, ISO.
- Ability to read technical drawings, P&ID, and welding symbols.
- Good understanding of NDT methods and acceptance criteria.
- Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Communication skills to coordinate with teams and clients.
- Basic computer skills for report preparation and documentation.
