Field Service Engineer

This full-time, permanent, contract position requires a Field Service Engineer to cover the Coventry area and provide excellent service to customers. The role focuses on servicing and repairing Volvo construction equipment, identifying mechanical problems, and pursuing revenue opportunities. Employees are expected to be proactive and solution-oriented, seeking additional service revenue.

Requirements

• Formal engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural / HGV mechanics or related discipline (e.g., NVQ 3/C&G)
• Relevant experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy construction plant
• Advanced diagnostic and trouble shooting skills with understanding of hydraulics, electrics and EATS
• Strong communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work with cost conscious thinking and work in line with quotations and time guides
