Join AtkinsRéalis as an Electrical Engineer and work on exciting projects supporting the design and modifications for the electrical power system for Candu and other nuclear power plants. As a junior or entry-level person, you will perform engineering work, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and prepare technical documents.
Requirements
- Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent degree as recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
- 8+ years of related work experience in electrical engineering and power systems design for either in the nuclear industry or other heavy industrial environment such as: mining, oil & gas, power, etc.
- Basic knowledge and experience of CANDU nuclear electrical power systems
- Working knowledge applicable codes and standards, such as of CSA 22.1, Canadian Electrical Code Part I and The Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC)
- Experience in modelling electrical power systems and use of analysis functions in ETAP, or other similar software program
- Fundamental technical knowledge to resolve engineering issues or technical problems
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills and good ability to interact and communicate (both verbal and in writing) professionally with colleagues, clients and contractors
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Site experience in construction, or commissioning of electrical systems for nuclear or other heavy industries
