Job Description
Sofar Sounds is seeking an Audio Engineer to provide live sound reinforcement for intimate shows in NYC. This month-to-month contract role involves setting up and operating audio equipment, collaborating with crew teams and artists, and ensuring exceptional sound quality in unique venues. The ideal candidate possesses experience with DIY audio setups, owns their own gear, and is passionate about live sound and creative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Experience with DIY audio setups, ideally at 50+ cap shows
- Own gear and can arrange transportation to and from shows
- Passion for live sound & creative problem solving – especially in unique venues!
- Strong communicator and comfortable working with creatives
- Able to troubleshoot effectively, especially in high-pressure situations
- Must be able to move up to 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
