Controller (Remote or Hybrid)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and seasoned Controller to oversee the financial operations of our renewable solar energy firm. The preferred candidate will be responsible for managing accounting activities, financial reporting, and internal controls, while ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5 years management experience - team of 3+
• 8-10 years’ experience in accounting
• Self-motivated and Self-directed
• Ability to manage multiple projects under various deadlines.
• Computer skills: MS office – advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge and/or experience with utilizing ERP systems (Sage/Concur)
• Experience with multi-location, multi-entity, and/or multi-state operation.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized & detail oriented; able to keep sight of multiple deadlines & responsibilities.
• Proven experience in leading finance teams, fostering collaboration, and professional development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engagement with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in remote and hybrid settings, demonstrating adaptability and self-motivation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Distributed Generation and in management role overseeing a Corporate Accounting team.
• 8-10 years of relevant experience, with preference for renewable energy or construction accounting.
