Operating Engineer

Under general direction, the Operating Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining, installing, and replacing utility production and distribution systems, including chillers, HVAC, boilers, and electrical distribution systems. Must fill out completed work orders and daily time sheets, and notify management of needed supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 to 7 years of documented work experience in the operation, maintenance and repair of chillers and boilers in a 400,000 sq ft commercial, industrial, institutional facility
• Good working knowledge of refrigeration, boiler and HVAC systems operations and maintenance
• Situational awareness or Meet the requirement set forth by City of Dearborn (High Pressure Boiler Code of Ordinance for the 1st class Stationary Engineer)
