Job Description
Spectrum Security Services, Inc. is seeking a Detention Officer for its role within the Department of Homeland Security. The position involves providing security and support to detainees, and requires a thorough background check as mandated by ICE.
Requirements
- Prior experience guarding prisoners and/or detainees as a correctional officer, jailer, or detention officer.
- Minimum qualifications include six months of experience as a security officer engaged in detaining civil or administrative detainees, or a two-year college degree or related professional training, and six months of experience as a security officer.
- Willingness to work on-call, accept sporadic assignments, and take challenging duties.
- Ability to pass a medical examination.
- No criminal record (NCIC records will be checked by DHS), no illegal substance use history, and a good driving record.
- Good credit history.
- Active registration through BSIS as a Security Guard.
