Job Description
SSOE is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in electrical design for commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will lead design efforts, mentor team members, and ensure technical quality and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years of relevant electrical design experience within the AEC industry, with a focus on large commercial facilities (Healthcare, Aviation, Education, Corporate)
- Demonstrated expertise in power distribution, lighting, grounding, and low-voltage systems design
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and related BIM coordination tools
- Familiarity with industry software such as SKM Power Tools, ETAP, Easy Power, or AGi32
- Deep understanding of NEC, NFPA, IES, and applicable energy codes
- Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams and manage deliverables for multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills; client-facing experience preferred
