Job Description
The Special Education Coordinator is a key member of the School Leadership Team, overseeing the implementation of special education and ELL programs and services. The Coordinator manages protocols and procedures, coordinates itinerant services and activities, and addresses issues related to these services and activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree (preferred)
- Special Education certification (required) w/additional ELL certification (preferred)
- 3+ years of teaching and supervision in the field of special education
- Working knowledge of MO Department of Education special education and ELL regulations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members
