The Youth Leader supports the YMCA's mission of developing youth potential by creating a safe and engaging environment for children and teens. This role involves planning and leading activities, building positive relationships, and serving as a role model in alignment with YMCA values. The position focuses on program development, safety, and building positive relationships with participants and staff.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 completed college units in child development, recreation, education, or a related field.
• Previous experience working with children or teens in a group setting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage groups effectively and respond calmly to emergencies.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Must pass background checks as required by local and state regulations.
