Job Description
The Head Start Associate Teacher will assist in planning and implementing learning experiences for children, develop positive relationships, and supervise playground activities.
Requirements
- Child growth and developmental principles knowledge
- Ability to work effectively with children and parents
- Ability to carry out oral and written directions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to handle stress from daily instruction and care of young children
- Ability to operate necessary program equipment
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to sustain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Bilingual and/or bilingual ability desirable

- Minimum of a valid Associate Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- Associate Degree in Child Development or related field preferred
