Technician

Technician role at Stanley Black & Decker in Suzhou, China. Responsible for product transfer, dual sourcing activity, and new product development cycle. Work with a multidisciplinary team to design and manufacture engineering components.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Self-motivated, creative, goal-oriented and good team player
• At least 1 year of Mechanical Design experience preferred with manufacturing exposure
• Experience in use 2D/3D design software, firm understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
• Awareness of design for manufacturing, metrology methods, and quality control practices
• Mechanical processing exposure or experience, including machining, casting, molding, heat treatment, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills & hand on abilities to build prototypes, diagnose problems, and report findings or corrective actions
• Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work with a global team
• Demonstrated leadership aptitude in prior project experience
• Good experience in using MS Office software
• Good command of English reading and writing
• Personal or professional familiarity with power tools is a plus
