Job Description
H2O+U is seeking a Construction Inspector to join their team and ensure that water infrastructure projects are built to the highest standards. The role involves monitoring contractor performance, providing quality assurance, resolving issues, and contributing to innovative solutions. This is a dynamic, field-based position focused on delivering impactful results in challenging environments.
Requirements
- Serve as the primary field inspector for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Monitor contractor activities and prepare detailed daily reports
- Verify compliance with specifications and standards
- Communicate directly with contractors regarding conformance issues
- Identify and document potential changes to the contract scope
- Maintain master as-built and record drawing documentation
- Attend progress meetings and evaluate the schedule of performance
- Review RFIs, submittals and inspection plan
- Coordinate field testing and inspections per contract requirements
- Document inspections, non-compliance notices, and corrective actions
- Track force account work and document labor, equipment, and materials used
- Review monthly contractor pay estimates for accuracy
- Prepare and manage punch lists for incomplete or deficient work
