Job Description
This Construction Inspector role involves quality control, contractor compliance, and documentation for complex roadway construction projects. The position works with general supervision, prepares reports, and coordinates with contractors and stakeholders. It may involve travel and inspections across various locations in Virginia, and potentially outside the state. The role contributes to the safety and quality of road infrastructure.
Requirements
- Coordinate work and inspections with contractor’s representative, client personnel, and other stakeholders
- Inspects installation of construction feature, measures dimensions, and calculates quantities
- Examines construction materials, checking to see if they meet specifications
- Review plans, specifications, requests for information, submittals, construction schedules, shop drawings and pay applications (QA/QC)
