Accountant I

Accountant I position requires preparation and posting of various journals, ledgers, and accounts, analysis and presentation of financial data, and preparation of financial statements and expenditure reports. The position involves routine entry-level work in a training status to build skills in maintaining, analyzing, and reporting financial information and applying generally accepted accounting principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance or a closely related field
• One year of bookkeeping may be substituted for each year of the required degree
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and theories
• Ability to prepare basic financial statements and reports
• Review and analyze financial information
• Maintain routine accounting data in appropriate ledgers and journals
