Data Scientist II

Stats Perform is the market leader in sports tech, providing the richest and most trusted sports data available. We are looking for a Data Scientist II to join our Machine Learning Modelling team, where you will be responsible for researching, developing, and implementing innovative machine learning techniques using Stats Perform’s wealth of sports data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related STEM fields.
• 2+ years of experience working as a data scientist (or similar role).
• Proficiency of Python and some experience using SQL, alongside using common ML/AI packages (TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, etc.).
• Familiarity with statistical (e.g. GLM, GAMs) and deep learning techniques (e.g. neural networks, transformers, diffusion models, etc.).
• Some knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Fluency in English; excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams, and both internal and external stakeholders.
