Yard Manager

OmniSource is seeking a Yard Manager for their facility in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the yard, including operations, personnel, maintenance, and inventory management, while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The position requires excellent communication, supervisory, and mechanical skills.

Requirements

• Effective communication skills/customer service skills
• Working understanding of scrap, operations, transportation, and pricing
• Basic knowledge of cost accounting and income statements
• Solid supervisory skills, strong interpersonal skills, and basic math skills
• Ability to operate forklift, skid steer, and/or other heavy machinery
• Previous supervisory/management experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read labels and understand MSDS
• Ability to work in high elevations and enclosed spaces
• Work in seasonal conditions
