Staff Accountant

Stio is an omni-channel mountain brand that designs, develops and sells beautiful, functional, and innovative apparel, footwear and other accessories. The Staff Accountant plays a crucial role in the company's accounting processes, assisting with general accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and performing month-end close processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce, retail, manufacturing, or a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar ERP systems)
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, macros, power query)
• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Amazon, Avalara, etc.) is a plus
• Familiarity with sales tax compliance, inventory accounting, and cost accounting is preferred
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and workload, strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable with using AI and identifying opportunities to improve existing processes using these tools
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
