Senior Lead Engineer, Fulfillment Platforms

Stitch Fix is looking for a Senior Lead Engineer to join their Fulfillment Platform group. The team is responsible for the technology powering the company's warehouse and transportation networks. The role involves setting technical direction, developing and roadmapping applications, and mentoring engineers. The successful candidate will have 5-8 years of software engineering experience, proven experience in designing large-scale systems, and a track record of leading engineers through ambiguous projects.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of software engineering experience
• Proven experience designing large-scale, event-driven or distributed systems (ideally in fulfillment, logistics or e-commerce)
• Experience implementing and managing integrations with external logistics and technology partners
• Leadership experience through ambiguous, cross-functional projects
• Fluency in a modern programming language (e.g. Ruby, Go, Python)
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Practical knowledge of optimization, forecasting, or decision-science techniques
• Bias for automated testing, continuous delivery, and observability
• Strong communication skills
