Medium Voltage Electrical Power Engineer (with substation experience)

Join the Strategy Engineering Team as a Medium Voltage Electrical Power Engineer with substation experience. Responsibilities include designing and engineering substations, providing electrical design, and creating project scope definitions and estimates.

Requirements

• Responsible for the overall Design and Engineering of substations as assigned from the concept phase through final construction drawings and project completion.
• Performs Electrical Engineering work requiring a sound working knowledge of utility substation designs and standards.
• Provides Electrical Design for projects such as Relay Upgrades, Breaker Additions/Upgrades, Transformer Replacements, RTU Installations, and New Substations.
• Creates project scope definition, project estimates, and schedules.
• Works with Project Managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within the project budget.
• Performs site visits for documentation, as required by clients.
• Visits construction sites to inspect work in progress or completed, as required by clients.
• Mentors and trains Design Engineers, Designers, and Electrical CAD Team.
• Develop electrical design deliverables, including protection and control design (protective relays) and/or physical design.
